Trust forwarding recommends that you always sign an insurance policy for your cargo transport. There is always a risk that something unpredictable will happen. Your cargo might be damaged even if it is professionally well packed. It might be lost in the handling process or destroyed in a fire. Airlines have a limited liability based on the weight of the shipment. In cases like these, the liability between the freight forwarder and the airline has to be investigated and this could be a time-consuming process. Compensation for loss or damage is calculated in SDR pr.KG. (See below) This could result in a low compensation amount, especially for shipments with high value but not weighing many kilos.

If you have chosen to purchase transport insurance with us at Trust forwarding, you will only need to follow the instructions on the back of your insurance premium or contact IF directly in case of any claims matter. This will benefit you as there is no middle man and the case will thereby be handled more rapidly.

If you have chosen not to purchase transport insurance but still want to submit a claim due to delay or damage, we ask you to fill in a preliminary claim (download claims form link).
